Tachycardia is a problem that depends on an abnormal increase in heart rate (heart beat of the heart). Usually the tachycardia is a disorder which is perceived in a clear way through what are commonly called “palpitations,” but in less serious cases, the tachycardia may not be noticed by the subject.
CAUSES OF Tachycardia: When the tachycardia is for stress
L ‘alteration of the heartbeat (main symptom of tachycardia) may be linked to a pathology of the cardiovascular system. But very often this increased heart rate is only one of the consequences of a lifestyle too stressful. Or tachycardia may be linked to anxiety disorders or other psychological problems.
DIAGNOSIS OF Tachycardia: medical examinations
If the episodes of tachycardia recur frequently, you should go to the GP and possibly by the cardiologist: be prescribed a series of tests, such as’ electrocardiogram, even under stress, and blood pressure in 24 hours.
The cure for tachycardia
If the medical tests rule out a heart condition, then action is taken on the lifestyle, trying to reduce as far as possible the conditions that create tension and restore healthy habits: a little coffee, no cigarettes and alcohol, sports at least three times a week. If the tachycardia is caused only by stress, the symptoms pass in a couple of weeks. If the tachycardia is instead due to a disturbance d ‘anxiety, you should consult a psychiatrist who will prescribe, if necessary, medication.
